At last, sweet, sweet justice.
News has come down from on high that the scumbags/idiots at Equifax are finally being held accountable for that moronic security snafu in 2017.
To make a long story short, 150 million people were affected by the security breach (including myself) and up until now it looked like the fools in the Equifax C-Suite were going to get off with out a single iota of pain and suffering. But dear reader, that is apparently not the case!
According to this article from Gizmodo (https://gizmodo.com/equifax-is-finally-getting-kicked-in-the-money-bags-due-1834976747) that hack cost Equifax a grand total of $690 million dollars in the first quarter of 2019 alone and the amount is going up almost by the minute! It's estimated that they'll end up spending another $400 million in each of the next two years and an additional $250 million in 2021.
The German's have a word for what I'm currently experiencing. It's name is "Schadenfreude." It means I'm taking pleasure in the dismay of others. I'm totally okay with that in this instance. I encourage you to take pleasure in their dismay as well.
I won't go on and on. I'll let the Gizmodo article fill you in on all the lurid details, but my friends, as someone who personally got hammered because of this hack I'm smiling from ear to ear. I look like the shark in Finding Nemo.
(Yep. That's the one.)
